Nancy Mazzei Joins The Weather Channel Companies as Vice President of Design

(Nov. 22, 2010) - The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) today announced that Nancy Mazzei has joined the company as vice president of design. Mazzei will direct design initiatives for the network's on-air and digital properties as well as oversee the company's team of graphic artists. Mazzei will be based at TWCC's Atlanta headquarters and report to Bob Walker, executive vice president of marketing and cross-platform development.

A seasoned veteran in the creative arts and television industry, Mazzei brings a wealth of experience in conceptualizing, producing and strategically executing campaigns. Most recently, Mazzei was a principal with Most &Co., a creative consulting firm focusing on brand identity, on-air environments, logo and identity. Some of her assignments included The Global Fund to Fight AIDS and truTV, where she also served as a creative consultant prior to joining Most &Co.

Mazzei was at VH1from 2002-2008, most recently as vice president of off-air creative, where she provided strategic direction for brand photography, print production and creative off-air design direction for the network's line of celeb-reality show launches including "Flavor of Love," "Rock of Love," and "Hogan Knows Best," among others.  Prior to VH1, Mazzei held creative director positions at Time Warner Cable, Showtime Networks and advertising firm Pittard-Sullivan.
Mazzei holds a bachelor's degree in media arts from The School of the Visual Arts in New York, where she also spent time as an instructor at the school after graduation.  Mazzei resides in Atlanta with her husband and daughter.
