The Weather Channel and Select 55 Present 55-Hour Weekend Forecast to Help Plan Your Summer Weekends

Weekend Events Feature Inspires Daily Planning on weather.com and The Weather Channel Apps for Android, iPhone and iPad

The Weather Channel® companies, (TWCC) and Select 55 are partnering together to offer an easier way to plan for the weekend with the 55-Hour Weekend Forecast. Integrating the weekend forecast on weather.com with The Weather Channel mobile apps for iPad, iPhone and Android, the 55-Hour Weekend Forecast helps consumers in select cities plan the entire weekend, from 5 p.m. Friday to midnight Sunday.

We all want to make the most of our summer weekends, and weather plays a big role in planning activities for those precious 55 hours - whether it's a backyard picnic, an outdoor music festival or a weekend road trip. Digital visitors in top markets across The Weather Channel properties - online, mobile and tablet - will see custom content and Select 55 creative relevant to them, including weekend activities in their region.

"The Weather Channel owns local - we create locally targeted ads as well as locally targeted content that  brings Select 55 into the conversation in a very organic way," said Ann Brown, senior vice president of client solutions at The Weather Channel companies. "This natural integration gives consumers a highly relevant, personalized experience to deliver the best user experience."

As the exclusive partner through the summer, the Select 55 campaign and integrated content will run on The Weather Channel digital properties from the Wednesday leading up to Memorial Day, May 23, to the Sunday before Labor Day, September 2. The 55-Hour Weekend includes custom video forecasts from The Weather Channel for 25 select markets to highlight a region's weekend activities. The custom video content is fully integrated within the local weather pages of weather.com and is available from the Right Now, Today and Weekend pages for each weekend starting Wednesday through Sunday to coincide with weekend planning.

The Weather Channel recently launched an entirely new online experience on weather.com with an easier-to-use design and interface for a more personal weather experience to help consumers better plan their lives. On the new weather.com, consumers can find the most accurate, relevant forecast available. The Weekend tab offers a three-day forecast for Friday through Sunday and video forecasts, a countdown to the weekend, and activity ideas and tips.

Make the most of your summer weekends with the help of the 55-hour Forecast on http://www.weather.com/ and The Weather Channel mobile apps.
