The Weather Channel Appoints Annie House Senior Director of Strategic Marketing

The Weather Channel® Companies (TWCC) today announced that Annie House has joined the company as senior director of strategic marketing.  House will work closely with the consumer marketing team to develop and execute the distribution marketing road map and long-range strategy in order to customize marketing and communications efforts with distributors.  House will be located at TWCC's Atlanta headquarters.

With nearly 15 years of experience in developing strategic marketing campaigns to support organizational business goals, House joins TWCC from Discovery Communications, where she served as director of marketing and promotions for domestic distribution.  She also worked in managerial positions at Discovery within affiliate sales and marketing, promotions and the in-house creative division. 

While at Discovery, House was a brand liaison and developed strategies for many of the company's properties, including Discovery Channel, TLC, Planet Green, Discovery's U.S. Hispanic Networks, BBC America and BBC World News, The Hub and more. House started her career coordinating marketing and tradeshow development with International Data Products.

House has worked on many award-winning projects, recognized by industry organizations such as the ACA Beacon Awards, Promax/BDA, NAMIC and CTAM. A Washington, D.C., area native, House received her bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Colorado.
