The Weather Channel Radio Network At The Top Of Its Game With Forecasts For Radio Sports Networks

TWCRN Becomes MVP for Radio Football Fans… The Weather Channel Radio Network at the Top of its Game with Forecasts for Radio Sports Networks

The Weather Channel Radio Network (TWRCN) helps factor in the weather for football planning and celebration. TWCRN now provides football game day forecasts to ESPN Radio and extended coverage to FOX Sports Radio, making TWCRN the leading provider of weather information to sports networks.

ESPN Radio includes forecasts for both NCAA and NFL games. TWC Radio Broadcast Meteorologist Sally Russell will broadcast forecasts for several key college and NFL match ups of the week during "Football Friday with Doug Gottlieb," which airs from 4-7 p.m. ET. Jennifer Narramore, also an RBM at The Weather Channel and an avid football fan, provides weekly NFL forecasts for the Monday night football game on ESPN Radio's "Monday Night Countdown with John Seibel" from 4-8:35 p.m. ET.

The arrangement for providing pre-game football forecasts for ESPN Radio marks the second such deal TWCRN has with a major sports radio network. It has provided game forecasts for FOX Sports Radio for several years.

The agreement with FOX Sports Radio calls for Ed Levy to appear live to report the weather for several of the day's football rivalries. Saturday during "FOX College Game-Time Warm-Up with Steve Duemig," Levy will provide a live report of some NCAA games at 10:45 a.m. ET and 11:45 a.m. ET. He will also forecast several NFL game locations Sunday at 10:45 a.m. ET and 11:45 a.m. ET during "FOX Game-Time Warm-Up with Chris Moore."

"The Weather Channel Radio Network wants to help listeners prepare for game day, whether they will tailgate at the stadium or watch the game at home," said Harold Lewis, vice president and general manager, TWC Radio and Newspaper. "We're pleased to be the leading provider of weather forecasts and information to these outstanding radio sports networks."
