Storms are brewing with the second season return of The Weather Channel’s highest-rated original series “Tornado Alley” on Monday, April 27. “Tornado Alley” provides uncharted access to all things tornado – bringing viewers face-to-face with the myths and the science behind some of the most death-defying tales of survival.
This season, the series analyzes twisters through two formats, “Real Time Tornado” and “I Survived a Tornado.” “Real Time Tornado” takes viewers minute-by-minute through a tornado as the episode retraces each twisted path. Survivors recount their harrowing tales, and footage shot by witnesses offers gripping first-hand accounts among the wreckage. In “I Survived a Tornado,” industry experts speak with those who have been caught in tornados to try and understand the experiences. These extraordinary accounts will be brought to life through a series of experiments designed to break down the scientific unlikelihood of their survival.
In addition, two back-to-back episodes of “Tornado Alley” will kick off Tornado Week on the network, which rolls out May 18.
“Tornado Alley” season two is produced by Karga Seven Pictures ( “Alien Encounters,” “Futurescape”), and features 12x one-hour episodes.
- “Tornado Alley” Season Two premieres Monday, April 27 at 9 p.m. ET.
- Two episodes will air Monday, May 18 starting at 9 p.m. ET as part of Tornado Week.
