“Oklahoma: Tornado Target” Takes In-depth Look at Impact Tornadoes have had on People and Communities within the Heart of Tornado Alley

One-hour Documentary Premieres Sunday, May 22 on The Weather Channel

 

What: Oklahoma, known to many as the Sooner State. To locals, it’s a magnet for tornadoes. In the heart of Tornado Alley, Moore, OK alone has taken direct hit from three powerful tornadoes in the last 20 years. In 2013, Moore, OK, was in the direct path of an EF5 tornado that killed 20 people.

With the upcoming anniversary of that devastating day, The Weather Channel will premiere Oklahoma: Tornado Target, a one-hour special that takes an in-depth look at the state of Oklahoma and the impacts tornadoes have had on the people and the community.

Hosted by Dave Malkoff, Oklahoma: Tornado Target will feature interviews with survivors and notable citizens, take a look back at major tornadoes in Oklahoma’s history and provide helpful safety & preparedness information for the future of the state.
