Sandra Szahun Joins The Weather Channel TV Network as Vice President of Ad Sales Marketing

ATLANTA (May 27, 2016) -- The Weather Channel television network announces that Sandra Szahun has joined the company as vice president of ad sales marketing. Szahun joins Weather from shoppable video company, Joyus.com, and will be responsible for all aspects pertaining to ad sales marketing for the network. She will be based in the company’s New York office and report to senior vice president of ad sales, Alicia Muntzner.
 
“Sandra’s extensive experience working with many brands and creating custom integrated partnerships makes her the ideal candidate for this role,” said Muntzner.  “She not only brings a wealth of marketing knowledge with her but also a great attitude. Sandra is enthusiastic about hitting the upfront season immediately, and we are thrilled to have her.”
 
In her previous role at Joyus.com, she served as head of sales and branded content. Prior to working at Joyus.com, Szahun was vice president of integrated marketing for daytime and syndication at ABC Television. In that role, she was responsible for bringing branded entertainment deals for various programming, including LIVE! With Kelly and Michael, Katie (The Katie Couric Show) and The View.  
 
Szahun holds an MBA from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business and resides in Jersey City, NJ.
