ATLANTA (Oct. 26, 2016) - The Weather Channel (Weather) is sponsoring Penn State Smeal College of Business in this year’s Interactive Launch Competition to re-envision the future of OTT. The Weather Channel is among several mentor sponsor companies working together in partnership on how to position new products in the ever changing media landscape.
The Interactive Launch Competition, produced by Interactive TV Works, challenges MBA student teams to create winning go-to-market strategies and marketing plans for advanced TV and online video innovations. Now in its fifth year, the competition has helped to educate more than 175 graduate students about cable, broadband and digital media.
This year’s judges include Nomi Bergman of Advance Newhouse, Jon Hargis of Charter Communications, Peter Nush of Comcast, David Porter of Kaitz Foundation and media executive Joan Gillman. The competition takes place on Thursday, Nov. 3 at Comcast’s corporate headquarters. Weather is proud to participate in this event, hosted by Comcast/NBC.
