Lynette Charles
On-Camera Meteorologist, Co-Host of Weekend Recharge
Lynette comes to The Weather Channel with over a decade of experience from WMAR in Baltimore, where she served as Chief Meteorologist from 2017-2022. She started her meteorology career in Chattanooga, TN in 2004 as the weekend Meteorologist. From there, she went to York, PA for two years before heading to Baltimore.
In fact, Lynette is no stranger to TWC. Before her on-air career, she worked as a camera operator here and was a part of our Practice Team Program from 2001-2004. Lynette received her certification in Meteorology from Mississippi State University in 2005. Lynette also has a Bachelor's Degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting from California State University in Los Angeles.
Lynette is from Silver Spring, Maryland, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and eating, (not necessarily in that order), and of course, the weather.
